Dr. Chris Vallee

Dr. Chris Vallee is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and a Registered Acupuncturist in the province of British Columbia. He graduated from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in June of 1995. In his final year of school, he served as the third year representative on the school board. Chris has been a member of the Acupuncturist Association of BC, the Canadian Acupuncturist and TCM Alliance and the Qualified Acupuncturist and TCM Alliance.
Chris has had a successful practice in Abbotsford for the last ten years, working with players from The BC Lions, the Abbotsford Airforce Junior Football team, Abbotsford Soccer Association, Abbotsford Rugby Club, local hockey players, Marathon and Triathlon athletes, and other local athletes in the area.  Chris was part of the Sports acupuncture Team for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.  He treated both Olympic and Paralympic athletes in both the Vancouver and the Whistler Polyclinics.  This was a historical milestone for Sports Acupuncture as this was the first Winter Olympics to add Acupuncturists to the medical team.
Chris is the Past President of the QATCMA, Chair of the Advocacy Committee for the QATCMA, ICBC Liaison for the QATCMA and Founding Member of the British Columbia Sports Acupuncture Association. As Past President of the QATCMA, he has begun creating awareness with the BC Minister of Health and was interviewed by Channel M News and the Abbotsford Times.

Chris was one of the main presenters to the Ministry of Health to lobby for MSP to include acupuncture treatment coverage.  In April 2008 Acupuncture was included under MSP coverage for those under supplementary coverage.
Chris prides himself on educating the public on the benefits of TCM and Acupuncture so that people understand that TCM is not alternative medicine. TCM can best be described as complimentary medicine, as it can be used to treat many ailments naturally.
